China Light Industry Federation officially awarded the plaque of "China's famous clock city" in Zhangzhou. At present, Zhangzhou has 157 watchmaking enterprises, more than 100 independent brands, and the total industrial output value of the watchmaking industry is 6.95 billion yuan. According to the introduction, Zhangzhou is one of the largest quartz clock production bases in China. It is a traditional industry with competitive advantages. It has five industrial clusters, including Jinfeng Development Zone and Lantian development industrial zone; 157 enterprises producing quartz clock, watch, core and accessories; 3 provincial laboratories, 2 provincial technology centers and 1 provincial industrial design center. It is investing in the construction of landmark industrial scenic spots in Fujian Province, such as the clock Museum, "time town" and so on. The "clock design competition" has been successfully held for three consecutive times. It has obtained 2077 industrial patents, including 1547 appearance patents, 475 utility model patents, 55 invention patents and 7 invention authorizations. More than 90% of Zhangzhou clocks are sold overseas, covering 165 countries and regions.
