On the morning of November 30, the "China clock City Zhangzhou" award and Sino Swiss clock design and manufacturing cultural exchange forum were held in Zhangzhou hotel. Zhang Hongguang, President of China Clock Association, read the notice on awarding the title of "China clock City Zhangzhou" to Zhangzhou city of Fujian Province issued by China Light Industry Federation, and officially awarded the plaque of "China clock City Zhangzhou".

So far, after six years, Zhangzhou was once again granted the national business card, which was officially upgraded from "the city of Chinese clocks" to "the famous city of Chinese clocks and watches".

More than 90% of the products are exported to 165 countries and regions

As a traditional industry and characteristic industry, Zhangzhou watch industry has developed into an important part of our city's industry in recent years with the great attention and support of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government, and has made many remarkable achievements in the professional fields at home and abroad:

●At present, Jinfeng Development Zone and other five clock industry cluster areas have been established in our city, with 157 enterprises producing quartz clock, watch, core and accessories

●Three provincial laboratories, two provincial technology centers and one provincial industrial design center were established, and 2077 patents were obtained, including 1547 appearance patents, 475 utility model patents, 55 invention patents and 7 invention authorizations

●There are more than 100 independent brands with registered characteristic products, 1 well-known trademark in China, 18 provincial brands and famous trademarks

●In 2017, the total output value of Zhangzhou clock industry reached 6.95 billion yuan. More than 90% of Zhangzhou clock products were sold overseas, covering 165 countries and regions

At the same time, the city has planned and built landmark industry scenic spots such as "Haisi clock Museum of Fujian Province" and "time town", and successfully held "China (Blu ray cup · Zhangzhou) clock design competition" for three consecutive times, providing strong support for the improvement and development of the industrial chain. In particular, this year, our city issued "eight measures to support the transformation and upgrading of Zhangzhou clock industry" to accelerate the adjustment and upgrading of Zhangzhou clock industry structure through "one industry and one policy", and strive to build Zhangzhou clock timing and precision processing industry into a pillar industry in three to five years.

Adhere to the road of scientific and technological innovation, actively implement the brand development strategy and other measures to help the scale, reputation and influence of Zhangzhou watch industry continue to improve. "National clock industry training base", "China Light Industry clock vocational skills training base", "national foreign trade transformation and upgrading professional demonstration base", "Fujian household appliances and clock export production base" and many other "golden signboards" are coming in succession.
